Slideshow: The St. Paul’s Pews Project
- May 2007 - In an experiment in enhancing the flexibility of the interior of St. Paul’s Chapel for worship, music, and civic events, the pews at St. Paul’s have been removed. What were the reasons behind such a move? Did the removal please everyone involved in chapel life? Why, after the removal, do two pews remain? This slideshow explores nearly every facet of the newly transformed St. Paul’s – from de-installation, to controversy, to the first worship service held in the new space.

The Trinity Root - August 9, 2005 - Steve Tobin creates an eighteen-foot-tall bronze sculpture of a sycamore tree's root structure for Trinity Church Wall Street. The sycamore in question is known as "the tree that saved St. Paul's Chapel," because it took the brunt of damage from debris falling from the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, and the chapel remained relatively unscathed. Follow the progress of Tobin's work through this video."
